Clotheshorse researchers have determined that people spend more money at the mall if they’re allowed a cocktail and a sick soundtrack for their shopping pleasure. Sure — give us a few vodka tonics and we’ll make out with the mannequin and slap up the store’s manager. That’s right, we’re gonna get both fly and belligerent for Thursday’s opening of Shop Bar. DJ Mike Deuce will play sound selector as you stroll the racks of locally created designs, vintage clothes and accessories for men and women, and even some stretchy stuff from American Apparel.
From 8 to 11 p.m., nosh on the small bites circling the room on silver platters or check out the models’ angled haircuts courtesy of the winner of Bravo’s Shear Genius, Dee Adames. Whatever you do, try not to get too wasted before your purchases are safely tucked away in your car’s back seat. Vomit is pretty hard to remove from silk. Believe us, we’ve tried.
