Bartender Julio Cabrera might call The Regent Cocktail Club his home base, but it looks like more and more the talented mixologist is sharing his talents with the world.
After a brief time in Miami to shake things up a few last times at Michy’s before the restaurant closed for renovations and a new to-be-announced concept, the cantinero is headed to Sicily with the Disaronno Mixing Star team.

Cabrera, of course, just got back from a whirlwind trip to England where he and some of the world’s most legendary mixologists competed in the Bombay Sapphire Most Imaginative Bartender competition. Cabrera represented the U.S. in the competition, scoring the U.S. Most Imaginative Bartender title and a GQ magazine cover in Las Vegas in September 2013.
Ultimately, Remy Savage of France took the top honors, but not before Cabrera impressed the judges with his skill.
